By Taxi
There are plenty of taxis available at the airport. It should cost around €20 as it really isn’t that far from the airport. The price will depend on whereabouts in the resort you are staying.
By Bus
Bus route 161 / 261 is the regular bus service between the airport and Playa Blanca via Puerto del Carmen. Click here for the timetable. The airport bus runs every 30 minutes between Monday and Friday from 7.30am to 10.30pm, with less buses at the weekend and public holidays, so best to check the timetable. It is important to note that the bus follows two different routes through Puerto del Carmen, depending on the direction that it is travelling: when heading from the Airport towards Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca, the bus travels along the Puerto del Carmen seafront (Avenida de las Playas), however it takes a different route when heading towards the Airport (through some of the resort’s backstreets).
By Car
From the airport, take the LZ-2 south, signposted as Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. Once you are on the dual carriageway, you will see a white sign for Puerto del Carmen, move into the left-hand lane, and take the first exit on the left-hand side.
Follow the LZ-40, it is well signposted for Puerto del Carmen, and there are a number of exits you can take, depending on where in the resort you are staying.
NB: Do bear in mind that sections of Puerto del Carmen are one-way (including the main seafront promenade).
The journey should take around 15 minutes.

By Airport Transfer
Pre-booking an Airport Transfer offers the ease of being dropped-off directly at your Hotel for a lot less than the price of a taxi (less than €4 per person). You can also forego the hassle of lugging your suitcases from the bus stop or waiting for the next bus. If you are part of a large group, then booking a mini-van or coach is much more cost-effective than using several taxis. Note that you cannot buy a ticket for a transfer upon arrival at the airport, so you must book your transfer in advance.

Hi – first time for me visiting Lanzarote in March. Can i just ask for your advice on a couple of details regarding buses please. First, can I buy the contactless card on the bus? Specifically the Airport bus to PdelC? Second, can i use one card to pay for the journey of 2 people, as long as the card has enough credit of course?
administrator
Hi, As far as I know, the contactless card is available from most buses and from Arrecife Bus Station. And yes, you can pay for multiple passengers with a single card.
